GeoSmart is a web-based application that allows the HSA to capture all interactions with employers, employees and members of the public. The geographical information system in GeoSmart supports auto addressing of locations through the An Post geodirectory database and full map display of employer locations through Microsoft Virtual Earth. The application supports 160 users via Head Office and eight regional offices. The HSA had never before taken on a project of this scale and complexity; despite this, GeoSmart was delivered on time and on budget.
