Over 400 IT industry luminaries attended the annual ICT Excellence Awards at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire on May 17.

The gala event was addressed by An Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore and Sean O'Sullivan of SOS Ventures and Dragons Den.

Top prizes on the night went to TERMINALFOUR for company of the year. The Person of the Year award was presented to Maurice Mortell of Telecity Group.

The Young IT Person of the Year prize was split between the members of Team SAP, Donnchadh Barry, Luke Benson, Paul McDonagh, recent winners of the European e-Skills Young Entrpreneurship competition for their mobile app, iCollapse.

This year's judging panel was headed by Forfas chairman Eoin O'Driscoll who was joined by Tom McCarthy, IMI; Dr Jim Mountjoy, co-founder Euristix; Dr Sean Baker, co-founder, IONA; Eoghan Nolan, Google; Peter McManamon, founder, Parthus; and Karl Flannery, Storm Technology.
